Amin Talati Partner Ivan Wasserman Named “Advertising Lawyer of the Year”
Chicago, IL (August 15, 2017) Amin Talati Upadhye, LLP announced that partner Ivan Wasserman has been named the Best Lawyers® 2018 Advertising Law “Lawyer of the Year” for Chicago. While this is the first time he has been named “Lawyer of the Year,” it is Mr. Wasserman’s 11th year being included in Best Lawyers in America© for Advertising Law. In addition, this year Mr. Wasserman was included in the prestigious “Best Lawyers®” for Consumer Protection Law.
The “Lawyer of the Year” designation is based on a comprehensive peer-review survey in which leading attorneys vote on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. Votes were solicited from nearly 83,000 attorneys worldwide; 7.4 million votes were analyzed for the 2018 edition. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
“I and all of our partners congratulate Ivan on this well-deserved recognition,” said Ryan Kaiser, Chair of the firm’s Class Action and Business Litigation team, “Ivan’s dedication to his clients, colleagues, community and family truly embodies our firm’s core values, and we look forward to great things in 2018 and beyond.”
Mr. Wasserman counsels clients on virtually all aspects of regulatory compliance, with a focus on statutes and regulations enforced by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and state Attorneys General. When advertising disputes arise, he regularly represents companies before the National Advertising Division (NAD) and the Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program (ERSP).
