Law360, New York (May 11, 2016, 11:53 PM EDT) — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s announcement on Tuesday that it will allow Kind LLC to use the word “healthy” on snack bar labels while the agency rethinks what constitutes a healthy food amounts to a tacit concession that its 20-year-old standards aren’t up to date with today’s understanding of nutrition, attorneys said Wednesday.
