Ivan Wasserman Quoted in “Data Shows How TikTok Sprayed Gasoline on the Flame of Berberine Sales”
Natural Products Insider turned to Ivan Wasserman for comment on how TikTok is boosting sales of berberine supplements.
In the publication’s June 20 issue, Ivan told Senior Editor Hank Shultz that, in some cases, it’s hard for companies to profit from video shares without running the risk of getting an FDA warning letter. He noted that free speech applies to presenters who may stray close to the disease claims line, or even cross over it, but cautioned that if a company promotes or links to the video, the FDA could find that that the company has adopted those claims as their own.
