Ivan Wasserman commented on Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s directing acting FDA Commissioner to explore eliminating the self-affirmed GRAS pathway for ingredients for NutraIngredients USA.
Ivan stated, “We will be actively monitoring any developments, but in the meantime, we should continue to ensure that the GRAS determinations of any ingredients used in foods or supplements will withstand the most rigorous scrutiny.”
