About Jennifer Adams
With a food science background and a love for nutrition and wellness, Jennifer provides a unique perspective to her clients in the food, beverage, supplement, cosmetic, drug, and animal product industries. By understanding a product’s scientific and technical qualities, she can advise clients with superior strategies and solutions to their regulatory needs, from product conception to advertising and everything in between.
Jennifer’s practice focuses on defending companies in challenges from the FDA, USDA, FTC, state attorneys general, false advertising class action lawsuits, the National Advertising Division (NAD), and the Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC). She counsels clients on developing and verifying advertising claim substantiation and labeling and good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) compliance. Jennifer also advises clients on GRAS and NDI requirements, California Proposition 65 compliance and disputes, facility inspections, Form 483 observations, FDA warning letters, import and export of FDA-regulated products, detentions, seizures, injunctions, and import alerts.
Jennifer’s goal is to make the expansive regulation of health and wellness products manageable to her clients. By understanding a client’s products, objectives, and risk profile, Jennifer advises them in a straightforward manner about their environment, what requirements must be complied with, and what steps to take to protect their brands. In a fast-paced and highly litigious space, Jennifer helps companies build good compliance policies and zealously advocates on their behalves.
Jennifer is a (self-styled) pretty darn-good cook, an avid traveler, and an active tennis and golf player. She’s working towards attending the four major championships of both sports.
